Last day of Term 1

We have had a very busy Term 1, and the last day of term has been no exception! In the morning, we commemorated ANZAC day with a ceremony lead by the SRC. As ANZAC day falls in the school holidays, we took this time today to remember those who have fought for our country. We also had our Dance Fever showcase, where all students were able to show parents what they have been learning in Dance Fever lessons this term. We have some amazing dancers at BPS! 2018 Resource Allocation Model funding

In October 2017, all NSW public schools will receive a 2018 Planned School Budget Allocation Report. The report will assist with the management of the total budget delivered to schools through the Resource Allocation Model (RAM). The Resource Allocation Model (RAM) methodology distributes funding based on the individual needs of students and schools. This gives schools greater flexibility to make local decisions. Selective High School Applications - Year 7 2019

Some primary schools across NSW offer places in ‘opportunity classes' for gifted and talented students in Years 5 and 6. To be considered for placement students must sit the Opportunity Class Placement Test. NDIS continues its roll out across NSW

The National Disability Insurance Scheme (NDIS) started in NSW in July 2016, rolling out across half of the state. The rollout for the rest of NSW started on 1 July 2017 and the NDIS will be fully rolled out by mid 2018. The NSW government is writing to the families of children and young people with disability who currently receive disability supports in the rollout areas to advise how and when they will enter the NDIS. Book Week 2017

Book Week Celebrations

We had a fantastic time today celebrating Book Week! We had an amazing "book-nic", where we got to sit outside and enjoy a book with our class and families. We also got to dress up as our favourite book characters, there were some fantastic costumes! We ended the day with a special assembly run by our library monitors, where they announced the winners of the CBCA Book of the Year Awards for 2017. NAPLAN Online School readiness test

NSW schools will participate in the NAPLAN Online School Readiness Test from 14 August to 22 September. There is a lot of information for schools, students and parents on the NAPLAN Online transition website. The school readiness test is a ‘practice run' for schools to assess their technology as we prepare to transition to NAPLAN Online. It provides an opportunity for schools to become familiar with the NAPLAN Online assessment platform but is not an assessment of student ability.... Read more

Welcome to Term 3!

A big welcome back to all staff, students and community members, and a special welcome to our new students starting this term. We have lots of exciting things planned for Term 3 and students will be doing lots of exciting learning.
